Brief BiographyIt all started in 1980 when I recorded show rehearsals for a comedy troupe. The tapes were used for stage direction and script reviews, and created a video library of live performances.My day-job was a sales manager in the software industry where I started to use video in sales training. The effect of taping sales people in mock scenario's, and coaching them through the playback of their performances was astounding. This is definitely the most powerful training tool I have ever seen. I have worked as a sales trainer for over 20 years. I wrote the sales courses that ran at MTE and Interim training colleges, and have trained over 1000 sales people for corporate clients ranging from retail sales to large complex ERP sales (I was one of the most successful people in the software industry across Asia Pacific for many years). I started using video in sales presentations and became very well known for my work across Australia and New Zealand as Sales Director of Applications for Oracle Corporation, and then later as Sales Director Asia Pacific for the Human Capital Management applications of PeopleSoft - both very large US based software corporations, now merged into one company. I found video to be the most powerful way to get sales messages across to corporate audiences across Asia Pacific. In particular, I strongly believe in using video customer testimonials in sales presentations, something most organisations rarely do. Customer testimonial video's have helped me close $millions of software business over the years, and I have developed a particular way of extracting the information that makes them work for my customers. Recently I re-located the business to the United States, based in New York.
Over the years I have had a lot to do with Human Resources - as a designer of software systems, as a Sales Director selling HR systems, and as an HR practitioner. I am doing a lot of work with HR departments in companies, particularly in the area of team building and corporate communications. As a full time professional videographer I have worked in a very wide range of local and international productions. These include corporate video's, customer testimonials, documentary work, sales training, team building, sales presentations and events. I write for Australian Video Camera magazine, and work as a mentor to a number of young videographers entering the field. My work as lead videographer for New York production company Video Production New York sees me involved in a wide range of video productions. There are plenty of production samples there for you to look at. I have some sample screengrabs of work on this site. I hope you get the sense that I have a wide range of experience in sales & management, and video production. I believe I bring these aspects together better than anyone in the industry. I am not making your video for artistic value, or to win an award - I am making it to help you increase your revenue.
